Donor Fund Allocation Policy

Your donation will be applied to program support for the specific campaign you have chosen, with priority given to its most urgent needs. If contributions exceed what this campaign can responsibly use, or if circumstances change, HEAL Palestine will direct the remaining funds to our four core pillars—Health, Education, Aid, and Leadership—to ensure support reaches families from Gaza where it is most needed. We will keep our community informed with regular updates on our work in the field.

Your support helps deliver comprehensive care for amputee children, including:

Rehabilitation and mobility support

Will I be supporting a specific child in the program?

No. Donations to the Amputee Program do not support one specific child. All contributions go into the Amputee Program Fund, which ensures that care is distributed fairly and according to need. This approach protects the dignity, privacy, and safety of every child while making sure all 25 children receive equal and consistent support. You will still receive regular updates about the program’s progress and the stories of the children you are helping.

How will I receive updates about the children and the program?

Supporters of the Amputee Program become part of a community that stays closely connected to our work in Gaza. Donors are invited to join regular virtual calls with our team on the ground. These sessions share updates on how the children are doing, the current realities families are facing in Gaza, and progress across our education, mental health, and aid activities.

Can I meet or speak with a child in the program?

No. To protect the privacy, wellbeing, and safety of the children, direct communication is not possible. Instead, HEAL provides collective updates, progress stories, and impact summaries that keep you informed about how your support is helping children heal and grow.

Is my donation Zakat or Sadaqah eligible?

Yes. This program is eligible for Zakat and Sadaqah. If you would like your contribution to count as Zakat, please note this at checkout and cover the small processing fee so the full amount can support the children.

Will the number of children in the program stay the same?

Not necessarily. The program currently enrolls 25 children, but many more in Gaza have lost parents and require long-term care. As resources allow, HEAL will expand the program to reach additional children. Donors will be kept informed about any expansion and the evolving needs on the ground.

How does HEAL Palestine use my donation?

Your contribution supports the full Amputee Program Fund. This includes nutritious food, clothing, school enrollment support, tutoring, trauma counseling, fun day activities, seasonal aid, and the field operations required to coordinate and monitor care. All funds are used to meet the most urgent and essential needs of the children.

Will I receive reports on how my donation is used?

Yes. Donors receive regular communication through virtual calls, email updates, and published summaries on this page. HEAL Palestine is committed to transparency and provides clear insight into how your generosity is helping children heal, learn, and grow.

How were the children selected for the program?

Our field team identifies, verifies, and enrolls children throughout Gaza who are in urgent need of stability and comprehensive care. Enrollment is based on vulnerability criteria and protection needs.
