HEAL Palestine Orphan Program

In Gaza, thousands of children have lost their parents, their homes, and their sense of safety. According to UNICEF, more than 19,000 children have been orphaned, and over 17,000 are unaccompanied or separated from their families. Many are sole survivors, the only remaining members of their families.
HEAL Palestine’s Orphan Program was created to give these children the care, stability, and hope they deserve. Our team on the ground has identified initially 70 orphaned and sole-survivor children in urgent need of comprehensive support. This program is a commitment to their healing, education, and wellbeing — not just today, but for the long road ahead.
At launch in November 2025, the Orphans Program was designed to support 70 orphaned and sole survivor children, with an annual cost of $439,924. This funding covers essential needs, education, psychosocial care, on-demand support, and the operational work required to deliver these services safely, consistently, and with dignity.
Thanks to the generosity and sustained support of donors since the program began, the program has been able to expand beyond its initial scope and include 80 orphans, with further enrollments underway. Continued support allows this growth to continue responsibly, helping reach more children who urgently need care and protection.

Every child enrolled in the HEAL Palestine Orphan Program receives full, ongoing support under HEAL’s four core pillars of work: Health, Education, Aid, and Leadership.

- Clothing, bedding, and school uniforms for comfort and dignity
- Education and tutoring support to keep children learning and growing
- Psychosocial and emotional care to help children recover from trauma
