Dr. Nada Mallick Joins HEAL Palestine Medical Mission to Treat Critically Ill and Injured Children in Gaza

Gaza’s hospitals remain overwhelmed. Children are arriving with critical injuries, severe illness, and urgent medical needs at a time when supplies, staffing, equipment, and specialized care are stretched far beyond capacity.
Through HEAL Palestine’s Health Pillar, Dr. Nada Mallick, a pediatric critical care doctor from the United States, has joined a two-week volunteer medical mission in Gaza to support children fighting for their lives.
During her mission, Dr. Mallick is treating critically sick and injured children while working alongside local medical teams on the ground. Her work includes direct patient care as well as training and support for local staff who continue to serve under extreme conditions.
Pediatric critical care is essential in Gaza’s current reality. Many children need rapid assessment, emergency stabilization, respiratory support, trauma care, infection management, and close monitoring. In a healthcare system under constant pressure, specialized volunteer missions help expand the capacity of local teams and provide urgent support where it is needed most.
For HEAL Palestine, medical missions are not only about bringing doctors into Gaza. They are about strengthening care, sharing expertise, and standing with Palestinian healthcare workers who continue to serve their communities despite exhaustion, danger, and limited resources.
Dr. Mallick’s mission reflects HEAL Palestine’s commitment to sustaining healthcare access for Gaza’s children. Every child deserves the best possible care, even in the most difficult circumstances.
