Sara Rayan is a computer engineering student from Gaza whose academic path, like so many others, was disrupted by war and displacement. Forced to leave her home, Sara is currently living in Mawasi, Khan Younis, continuing her education while residing in a tent under extremely difficult conditions. Access to stability, consistent electricity, and reliable internet has been limited, yet her determination to build a future through education has remained strong.

Through the HEAL Palestine × Axsos Academy tech scholarship program, Sara was able to regain a sense of direction and purpose. She enrolled in the Data Science and Machine Learning bootcamp, where she began building a clear and structured career track despite the instability surrounding her. The program provided her with practical, job ready skills that go far beyond theory.

During the bootcamp, Sara developed hands on experience in data cleansing and preparation, data visualization, Python based data analysis, code writing, and refactoring. She learned how to work with real datasets, translate raw information into insights, and approach technical problems with confidence and structure. Just as importantly, the program helped her understand how these skills connect directly to real world roles in the global tech sector.

With ongoing academic guidance and career support, Sara reached a major milestone. While still enrolled in the program, she successfully secured a job, allowing her to begin supporting herself and her family. This step marked the transition from learning to practice, from uncertainty to tangible opportunity.

For Sara, the impact of the scholarship is both professional and deeply personal. Her goal is not only to grow as a data professional, but also to move her family from life in a tent into a home that offers safety, warmth, and stability. Education has become her pathway toward that future.
