HEAL Palestine distributed baby milk and diapers to 304 children across displacement camps in North Gaza, reaching infants and toddlers whose families have been cut off from reliable access to basic supplies.
Beneficiaries were identified through displacement camps, HEAL Palestine’s affiliated medical clinics, and partner referrals. This layered approach ensured that every family selected had a verified, urgent need, prioritizing households where infant nutrition and hygiene supplies had become impossible to obtain or afford.
For families living in tents and temporary shelters, formula and diapers are not routine purchases. They are among the first items to disappear from markets and among the most difficult to replace. The absence of clean, consistent infant nutrition carries immediate consequences for a child’s growth and health, particularly in an environment where clean water and sanitation remain scarce.
Distributions like this one address a narrow but critical gap in the humanitarian response. Infants cannot wait for conditions to improve, and their needs cannot be met by general food assistance alone.
This distribution is part of HEAL Palestine’s ongoing work to sustain the health and dignity of children across Gaza, delivered directly to families in the camps where they are sheltering.
