Omayma is a mother of three whose life was completely uprooted after being displaced from Gaza to Egypt. Like so many families, she lost her home, her stability, and the ability to provide a clear path forward for her children. Although she held a degree in information technology, limited access to opportunity and ongoing instability had prevented her from entering the tech workforce.

Through the HEAL × Axsos Academy Tech Scholarship Program, Omayma was accepted into a fully sponsored bootcamp focused on real world technical skills, career readiness, and job placement. The program provided intensive training in full stack web development, along with mentorship and hands on projects that helped her translate education into practical experience.

As a student, Omayma gained not only new technical skills, but also confidence in her ability to compete in the global labor market. By the end of the program, she had begun working as a freelance full stack web developer, marking the start of her entrepreneurial journey in technology.

Today, Omayma is using her skills to support her family as they rebuild their lives in a new country. Her story reflects the broader impact of the HEAL × Axsos Academy partnership, which is designed to remove financial barriers, create access to high demand careers, and empower displaced Palestinians with sustainable livelihoods.

Omayma’s success is one of many emerging from this program, where education leads directly to opportunity and long term independence. By investing in skills, we are investing in families, resilience, and future generations.
