The Kuwait Specialty Field Hospital, operated in partnership with HEAL Palestine in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, continued delivering critical medical services across southern Gaza throughout August 2026.
According to the hospital’s monthly visitor report, the field hospital served 58,917 patients and beneficiaries during the month, reflecting the continued demand for emergency care, outpatient treatment, diagnostics, surgeries, pharmacy support, ambulance services, pediatric emergency care, and maternal health services amid Gaza’s ongoing healthcare crisis.
The largest share of patients came through the hospital’s outpatient clinics, which served 26,715 patients, representing more than 45% of all monthly visits. Emergency and reception services followed with 10,611 patients, while the pharmacy supported 7,197 patients and the laboratory served 6,401 patients.
The hospital also continued providing specialized and urgent services, including 2,731 pediatric emergency cases, 2,689 radiology patients, and 1,649 ambulance service cases. Surgical teams performed 603 operations, while the maternity department supported 206 normal and cesarean deliveries. The hospital also recorded 115 endoscopy and gastroenterology procedures during the month.
August marked an increase of nearly 5,800 visits compared to July 2026, when the hospital served 53,143 patients. The growth was driven largely by outpatient demand, which rose by more than 4,100 visits month over month as families across southern Gaza continued seeking treatment for chronic conditions, infections, and injuries.
These figures reflect the hospital’s continued role as a major medical lifeline for displaced families and communities in southern Gaza. As hospitals and clinics across the Strip remain under extreme pressure, the Kuwait Specialty Field Hospital continues to provide accessible care to thousands of patients each month.
Through emergency response, outpatient treatment, surgery, maternity care, diagnostics, pharmacy access, ambulance services, and specialized departments, the hospital remains central to HEAL Palestine’s Health Pillar and its commitment to sustaining healthcare access for Palestinians in Gaza.
