Sarasota Community Gathers to Support Mohammed and Stand with Gaza’s Children

The Sarasota community recently came together in compassion and solidarity to support HEAL Palestine and to welcome 13 year old Mohammed, who lost both of his legs in a bombing in Gaza. The gathering was a powerful reminder that humanity knows no borders and that collective action can create meaningful change for children facing unimaginable hardship.
Community members showed up with open hearts, offering encouragement and support to Mohammed and his family as he continues his healing journey in the United States. Their presence reflected the values at the core of HEAL Palestine’s work, where medical care is strengthened by community, dignity, and shared responsibility.
Through grassroots support like this, HEAL Palestine continues to deliver lifesaving medical care, safe shelter, education support, food assistance, and essential humanitarian aid to children and families in Gaza. Every surgery, every meal, and every act of care begins with people and communities who choose empathy and action.
